Around 50 Citizen Appeals Taken Under Review During Ombudsman Reception
On October 30, 2024, the Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman), Feruza Eshmatova, held a regular reception for citizens. Approximately 50 individuals submitted appeals concerning violations of labor rights, social assistance, housing issues, pardons, judicial and investigative processes, family and property matters, and other issues.

These appeals were taken under review, with some receiving on-the-spot legal clarification. Appeals requiring further investigation were forwarded to the Ombudsman’s regional representatives. When necessary, specialists and representatives from relevant organizations are engaged for a comprehensive review of citizen appeals.

As a reminder, citizens can submit electronic appeals to the Ombudsman via the ombudsman.uz website or directly to regional Ombudsman representatives.

For reference: the Ombudsman receives approximately 100 written and electronic appeals daily. Appeals are accepted through in-person and on-site receptions, mail, the President’s Virtual Reception of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the www.pm.gov.uz internet portal, the ombudsman.uz website, a mobile application, and "Ombudsman Boxes."
