It should be noted that in 2005, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Authorized Person for Human Rights and the Ministry of Justice, which was the beginning of fruitful cooperation in the field of ensuring human rights, increasing human resources and legal awareness of the population.
Large-scale reforms carried out in the country according to the principle “for human dignity” also impose special responsibilities and tasks on these state bodies. Based on this, an action plan for cooperation between the Ombudsman Institute and the Ministry of Justice was approved and the main areas of cooperation were determined.
One of them is the constant analysis of human rights legislation and the organization of work to improve them, control over compliance with human rights legislation by state bodies and organizations. At the same time, based on the analysis of the results of the Ombudsman's research, control measures and incoming applications, proposals will be developed to improve the legislation. It is also planned to identify possible violations of human rights and freedoms and take measures to prevent them.
In addition, it is planned to monitor the observance of human rights legislation by state bodies and organizations, promote reforms to ensure human rights and freedoms in the country, build the capacity of the Ombudsman's office and regional representatives, and cooperate in other areas.
