This international event, organized on the theme "The Future of Human Rights in the 21st Century", is held in connection with the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Ombudsman Institute of Turkey. It was attended by ombudsmen from more than 60 foreign countries, including the ombudsmen of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Italy, Africa, Romania, Moldova, Kenya, Serbia, Hungary, Norway, France, Qatar, the Philippines, Pakistan, Bangladesh and other countries.

This conference discusses the role of national human rights institutions in the effective protection of the rights and freedoms of vulnerable segments of the population, especially women, minors, the elderly, people with disabilities, based on the problems of the 21st century.

The event is also aimed at strengthening cooperation in the field of protection and promotion of human rights by bringing together Eastern and Western ombudsmen, getting acquainted with the best practices of different countries. Ombudsmen visited the Administration of the President of the Republic of Turkey.

In his speech, President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan touched upon the role and importance of the ombudsman institution. In 2012, at the initiative of the President of Turkey, the Ombudsman Institute of Turkey was introduced as a control organization for state bodies.

After that, the members of the delegation visited the library, created on the territory of the Administration of the President of Turkey. It was noted that the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan personally took part in the opening ceremony of this library. In this library, the length of which is 3 kilometers, if you fold the bookshelves, a special corner has been created for Uzbekistan. The library, which contains a rich national and cultural heritage, can also be used by ordinary citizens.

Members of the delegation also visited the Turkish Parliament and got acquainted with its activities.
