As a symbol of international cooperation, more than 15 foreign Ombudsmen participated in the establishment of "Ombudsman Park" in Samarkand. Over 20 fruit trees were planted in the park, representing the inseparable connection between human rights and sustainable development.
The Symbolic Meaning of the Park
"Ombudsman Park" was created as a symbol of the harmony between human rights protection and environmental sustainability. The tree-planting initiative promotes the importance of environmental conservation and ensuring a clean, green, and comfortable environment for everyone. At the same time, this park serves as a symbol of international cooperation, human rights protection, and efforts to create a sustainable environment for future generations.
Meetings Within the Framework of International Cooperation
During the visit to Samarkand, a delegation consisting of Ombudsmen and representatives of national human rights institutions from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Qatar, Moldova, Russia, the Kyrgyz Republic, Finland, Switzerland, Italy, and Morocco familiarized themselves with the activities of the regional representative of the Parliamentary Ombudsman of Uzbekistan in Samarkand, as well as with the work of People’s Reception Offices.
