The Ombudsman was accompanied by a representative of the Agency for External Labor Migration under the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as Victoria Saltanova, Head of the Department for Citizenship, Protection of the Rights of Migrants and Foreign Citizens of the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation.

During the visit, the Ombudsman met with the administration of the Center and became acquainted with the living conditions, food provision, access to medical services, and other facilities provided for Uzbek nationals.

A conversation was also held with citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan temporarily detained at the Centre, during which their problems were identified and legal advice on topical issues was provided.

The appeals voiced by the compatriots were subsequently discussed with the Centre's administration and partners. Based on the results of the discussion, joint measures were identified to address the identified problems.
