During the talks, first of all, information was discussed on the work carried out in our country to ensure human rights, the introduction of new mechanisms in the process of working with complaints, the prevention of torture, ensuring openness and transparency, and strengthening freedom of speech.

Information was provided on the activities of the ombudsman institution and the reforms carried out in recent years in the field of ensuring human rights.

Along with this, during the meeting the information about monitoring visits within the framework of the National Preventive Mechanism for the Prevention of Torture under the Ombudsman with public groups to closed institutions for the detention of persons with limited freedom of movement, the participation of civil society institutions and the media in these visits was discussed.

At the end of the meeting, proposals for the development of cooperation were made.
