Due to the fact that the appeals of citizens to the Regional Representative of the Ombudsman in the Tashkent region are more related to the social sphere, this event was devoted to the issues of social support for the population.

The event was attended by the Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman) F. Eshmatova, representatives of the khokimiyat of the city of Okhangaran, the State Committee for Family and Women, the Institute for Labor Market Research, the Main Department for the Development of Sports of the Tashkent region, as well as the chairmen of the gatherings of citizens of the mahalla, activists of the mahalla and media representatives.

It should be noted that according to the Decree of the Head of State dated September 10, 2021 “On measures to improve the activities of the Authorized Person for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, one of the main activities of the Ombudsman is to ensure the protection of the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of the population, the task of popularizing international and national legal norms, as well as promoting the improvement of legal awareness and legal culture of the population.

In this regard, the main goal of founding the "School of the Ombudsman" is to timely and fully inform the population, especially women, youth, the elderly, citizens with disabilities, about the fundamental changes that are being implemented in the field of protecting human rights and freedoms in our country, about the opportunities and benefits created by legislation and how to get them.

At a meeting within the framework of the "School of the Ombudsman", representatives of the competent state bodies and organizations explained to citizens about the provision of employment, the activities of monocenters, the opportunities created for socially vulnerable families and the new norm in the field of creating a healthy lifestyle among the population and developing sports.

After the event, a reception of citizens was held and the received appeals of citizens were taken under the control of the Ombudsman.
