During the monitoring, the conditions created for prisoners and convicts in this pre-trial detention center were studied, including accommodation, food, access to medical care, provision of medicines and other aspects.
During the monitoring group interviews were held with men and women in the cells and 53 defendants in the walking area of the institution.
After that, when opening the Ombudsman's box, it turned out that there were 9 appeals in total. It should be noted that the "Ombudsman's boxes" are opened only by the Ombudsman's employees once every two weeks and all appeals are considered in the manner prescribed by law.
As part of the monitoring, interviews were held with all the persons who filed appeals, their statements and complaints were accepted. 2 applicants petitioned for the participation of a regional representative of the Ombudsman in the court session, and one convict complained about the psychological pressure exerted on him by an employee of the pre-trial detention center. When this appeal was studied, it became known that the Regional Coordinating Center No. 2 of the Department for the Execution of Punishments under the Ministry of Internal Affairs was conducting an internal check against this employee. This appeal has been taken under the control of the Ombudsman. The remaining 6 applicants were given legal clarifications.
