The applicant submitted that her daughter K.S. had been working in Korea since 2022 and her 8-year-old son was left in the care of her husband. The videotape attached to the appeal shows the father holding a knife and threatening to slit his son's throat when the couple argued during a video call. The woman also said that her husband had repeatedly beaten her and harmed her health.
The appeal was immediately transferred to the control of the Ombudsman. This circumstance was studied on the spot together with the regional representative in Jizzak region and the department of the National Agency for Social Protection of Jizzak region.
It turned out that at present the minor son of citizen K.S. lives with his grandmother. When the child was interviewed, he expressed his dissatisfaction with the negative relationship between the parents, his unwillingness to live with his father, and his desire to stay with his grandmother. After that, the grandmother was appointed temporary guardian of the minor son of citizen K.S..
Criminal proceedings were opened against the father on charges of intentional commission of a crime under article 112, paragraph 1, of the Criminal Code, with unlawful acts expressed in a threat to kill or use violence against a minor child.
