The representatives of the OSCE mission observing the elections of deputies to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and local Kengashes, who visited our country, were initially interested in the human rights norms incorporated into the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, adopted in a new version based on a nationwide referendum, as well as the rights granted to the Ombudsman.

During the conversation, the Ombudsman’s participation in the election preparation processes, election advocacy, gender equality, and cooperation with civil society institutions were discussed. The meeting was held in a cordial and friendly atmosphere.
