The Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan: A Reliable Guarantee of a Democratic, Legal, and Social State
On November 28, 2024, the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a scientific and practical conference on the topic “The Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan: A Reliable Guarantee of a Democratic, Legal, and Social State.” The event was attended by the Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman), judges of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, members of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, representatives of the Central Election Commission, the Agency for Public Service Development under the President, the National Agency for Social Protection under the President, the Ministry of Justice, the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies, the Academy of Armed Forces, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and students from several higher education institutions.
During the conference, participants discussed the role of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan in building a democratic, legal, and social state, as well as current issues related to ensuring the political rights of citizens and their social well-being.
In her speech, the Ombudsman emphasized the significance of the Constitution in ensuring human rights and freedoms, the key tasks of implementing its provisions in practice, and the role of the Ombudsman institution in this process.
As a result of the scientific and practical conference, proposals were developed to analyze the importance of the Constitution in building a democratic, legal, and social state, improve legal mechanisms for implementing its provisions, and ensure the rights of citizens.
